Sring has certainly arrived here in North Carolina.  Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.  Marty and I have been busy getting ready to plant our garden.  We are also going to the Organic Grower's School at the Blue Ridge Community College Flat Rock campus this weekend.  Please forward this to anyone you think might be interested.  If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter, e-mail me and write “subscribe” in the subject line.

Announcements:
  • Glenn Ingram, Jr, ND will be giving a talk on Insulin Resistance at the Connestee Falls Cherokee Room March 24th at 3:00pm.  Admission is $2.00 for non-Connestee Falls members.
  • Poppies Market Health Fair: April 18th from 10:00-5:00.  Dr. Glenn will be speaking about fats and oils in the diet.  Dr. Marty will be talking about the benefits of fermented foods and demonstrating simple recipes. 
  • Spring Cleanse Starting May 3rd:  This is the time of year for cleansing!!  I like to do a cleanse when the weather warms up every spring.  Marty and I will be offering a Group Spring Cleanse.  It will be a 3-week cleanse starting Sunday May 3rd until May 17th.  The cost is $125 per person including cleansing herbs from Gaia, bentonite clay, and 4 classes.  Please e-mail if you would like to join us.
